The Kharkiv National Medical University is a nonprofit public higher education institution located in the Kharkov, one of the largest cities of Ukraine. The history of the university begins in 1805 when was founded Kharkov imperial university. The university was formerly called Kharkov medical institute, Kharkov national medical university and Kharkov state medical university. The 211 years old university has earned name as the best among institutes of higher education of Ukraine. Since 1961, university has been training medical students and specialist from all over the world and at this moment training approximate 7k student, among them 2150 students are from other countries.
